An Interesting Article on "Bureaucratic Doublespeak"
Brett Cloyd, from the University of Iowa, brought the following article to our attention, and I thought it may be of interest to those of you who missed it. The article appeared in the New York Times earlier this year "At the World Bank, A Shortage of Concrete (Language)". The authors of the study looked at a series of World Bank Reports but the move towards using language that is ambiguous at best is becoming the standard in most bureaucratic institutions.
